Recently, I replace the timing belt on my daughters' 2000 Daewoo Lanos (1.6 L), along with 8 bent exhaust valves, lifters, and a belt tensioner. Everything seems in order except for the fact that I have no fuel pressure going to the engine. Before I ventured into replacing the exhaust valves, I had only replaced the timing belt. At that point, the engine was getting gas but it had no compression (that's when I knew that had to replace the valves). Upon removing the head to work on replacing the valves, the fuel system had to be disconnected.
Does anybody know if there is a safety shut-off switch for the fuel system on these vehicles and where it might be located on the vehicle? I'm thinking that it may have tripped when I disconnected the fuel line and needs reset. Any help would be appreciated.
