Check fuel gauge before test driving!

So I'm in the market for a new truck and I see this truck on the web at Courtesy Chevrolet (Houston) that I like. So I call to see if they still have and they say yes, so I drive 24 miles to their place to find out they "just sold it". Kinda pisses me off but oh well maybe they did just sell it right anyways I see another truck I like and decide to test drive it. Well what i didnt notice was that the damn thing was on empty. I noticed after I pulled out the lot but I can't turn around because I'm on a one way feeder. So I keep going hoping I can make it back around but I don't I probably didn't drive a 1/4 mile before it shut off, and then I have hell getting them to pick us up because when I call the dealership they just keep transferring so I finally had to get a little ugly on the phone. You gotta understand this is Houston heat and to top it off my wife and son are with me and we can't even keep the truck on to keep us cool. Well they finally picked us up and took us back and what we really pissed me off was the fact that the salesman didn't even come out to meet us and apologize so I told my wife lets go, but hte more I thought about it the more it pissed me off so I go back into the building by myself to look for the salesman ready to give him a piece of my mind and maybe something else but I can;'t find him probably for the better. But anyways Courtesy Chevrolet.
