hosinfefer: where did you find the 265mph stat?
I only found an estimation of 240mph.

are you talkin about the bike. It says 240mph because that is all it is gear for. If you were to put taller gears on it it would go way faster. The bike has just been put into a magazine (i got the 3 pages in jpg format if anyone wants to see it). It is putting 530HP to the rear wheel and as we speak is back at the shop getting 575 at the rear wheel....I LOVE this bike

oh and yes it is street legal

Re: The Fastest street legal Road vehicle

You for got another bike The dodge tomahawk. 500 hp stock! That hyabusha is way moded. Not stock. However If you want to mod the dodge you would probly have around 800+ Not to mention its has way more torque too due to the two wheels on the ends instaed of 1.
Did Any1 read the new article on celeb rides?? They talked about the Veyron and how it is to unstable at 253 mph so now it has been lowered 33 MpH!! 1 less rival for the mclaren!!

the hawk has 4 wheels (two up front and two down back). and it is also a concept so it dont even count really. But i did not hear anything about the veryon...I would of thought they did more wind testing and shit like that so see what kinnd of air flow the car had.

I know it has four wheels and it most definetly will be a production bike. Bugatti announced it to the public aka customers about the speed lowering and supprising they all thought it was fine considering they also wanted to live like the rest of us.

i think a Yugo is the fastest. I think the Mclaren F-1's get to 60 in 2.9 sec. also there is some kind of Mach mustang that is real fast.

Re: The Fastest street legal Road vehicle

I was watchin some videos off kazaa or somthing of a busa popin a wheelie and started flyin down a freeway (he was at about 150 in a couple of seconds) next thing you see he goes flyin by a cop and keeps goin he coul have hit 300 on the digital readin but he got off a turn ramp. Plus, bikes are quicker than cars. By the way the tomahawk isnt made by dodge, its a 500 hp viper engine sittin in a steel frame. My votes are for the busa and you did say street legal vehicle and from what I can see it does drive on the street and is legal. Im with you on this one hosinfefer

Re: The Fastest street legal Road vehicle

But hosinfefers vehicle is based on regearing. So in that same sense you could regear a Mclaren or a 962 to do higher speeds as well. In non-regeared form, a 962 still wins!

you could gear a 962 to do 400MPH...the question is does it got the power to push it too that speed. I would that a 962 could beat a turbo busa at top speed because of areo-dynamics..but in acceleration i dont think any care would do very well. One bike i seen has 526hp..and i am guessing only ways 350Lbs.....thats one crazy power to weight ratio
