Re: Removing Front Door Panel

Like 91euro+ says, there were some screws in various places. Once those are removed the remaining fasteners are like thiis one:

They may be plastic, or they may be the same as shown. As you can see, this type panel clip is designed to hold firmly to a small hole in the door. The idea is, when the clip is removed it will slightly compress and slip out of the hole in the door. Well, that's not always true with the type of clip shown, sometimes it will rip away from the door panel rather than giving up it's grip on the door.

What I like to do is work with a panel removing tool that has the ability to slightly surround the clips giving you an advantage over the clip. You will definately get the feel of where the clips are positioned after you start pulling the panel away from the door. Be sure to remove all the screws first. There are screws on the door pull handle and may be a few on the panel edges, out of sight.

Here's some of those tools:

Smile Re: Removing Front Door Panel

Thanks so Much!! I definitely knows those clips because they are the same ones used on 66 Mustang door panels. I still cannot fiind any screws of any type on the inside of that door panel.
Thanks Again. I had a feeling that it may belike this

Carefully work from one end, after you get your tools / fingers under the panel, usually a sharp-controlled pull on the panel will pop out the first cilp. From there onward it becomes a bit easier.
