Seat Belt Control Module Operation
Hi there, we have a 99 ram 1500 pick-up 4x4 standard tranny, it has a drain of about .36 amps and has been traced to the seat belt control module. Does anyone have any information on how this system works/functions? Thanx in advance...

Re: Seat Belt Control Module Operation
My 99 Ram does it too! It drains 0.5 A! Most of them do it. Search at dodgeram.org[tech[troubleshoot/Problems.htm
They recomend replacing the modulr with a "revised part". |

Re: Seat Belt Control Module Operation
well, we "fixed" it by removing constant power to the module...we then wired the hot to it to an ignition feed...drain is gone forever...it still works as it should.
