Denali Ignition issues

Hello all,

I have a 2006 Envoy Denali with around 50k miles. I recently have been having off and on troubles with my ignition..I put the key in and turn it and nothing happens at all..It is in park and I had installed a aftermarket remote starter if that makes a difference. Usually I will turn the key forward and it will do nothing..then I do it again and it will start just fine.. Other times I will turn it and it will start but run really rough like its mis firing bad..The first time this happend I took it into the shop and they said it had trouble codes for every O2 sensor and some various other codes..They told me they reset the computer and found a loose connection to the computer so they got that secured and all should be well...Here I am exactly one week later and just had the same problem...Anyone have any advice?

Re: Denali Ignition issues

Update...the ignigtion switch must be messed up..it will no longer start the truck..I turn it forward and all the dash lights shut off and the truck does not start. Good thing for the remote start as I can still start it this way..I am so selling this truck..any buyers?

Re: Denali Ignition issues

It is, in fact, most likely the ignition switch and it is a common problem with Trailvoys. Same thing happened to me about a year ago at around 38,000 miles on my 2003.

Re: Denali Ignition issues

What should I expect for cost to have this repaired? Would my extended warrenty cover this?

Gotta read your policy, how would we know what they cover. Normal price range is about 200.00-250.00

Re: Denali Ignition issues

My extended warranty covered mine 100% but there are lots of different extended warranty plans and all vary. Since mine was covered, the Repair Invoice didn't show a price as it was Zero for me. What maxwedge says sounds about right to me.
