Back lights not working

Hi,
I have a 1997 Plymouth Breeze. When I turn on the headlights, the back lights are not working. I didn't know this until I was stopped by the police! Anyway, I checked the bulbs and one was blown so I replaced both on each side. I also replaced all the fuses (not the larger ones). Still doesn't work. The flashers, blinkers and brake lights work fine. On the same note, the dashboard lights don't work anymore either. I noticed this first before I knew about the back lights.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

backlights

Greetings

These cars are bad for the contact strips connecting the lenses to the sockets. Also check the sockets for signs of green rust. If the dashlights are out too then check the fuses on the right side of the dashboard near the side window vent check fuse 7 it's a 20 amp yellow and controlls the instrument cluster illumination, park and tail lights.

Thank you for your reply. It was a bad connector. I had it replaced and now all is well. Thanks again!
