Now my 95 Cirrus won't start

AAA tried to jump it but everything else is fine. He said it may be the timing belt. My oil light was on (as I explained int he other post) and it started staying on. I went to start my car yesterday and it won't start. It acts like it is going to, but doesn't.

Could it be my TIMING BELT? How much does it cost to repair.

Thank you in advance!!!!!

How many miles are on the motor? Take off your oil fill cap and have someone turn the motor over. If you don't see the camshafts turning as you have a friend turn the key, you timing belt is broken; and that's a MAJOR expense, around $1500 to fix b/c the valves might be bent b/c of piston-to-valve contact known as interference. Only way of knowing if they're bent is to do a compression test on the motor and go from there.

Thank you Freak. I have printed this out and a friend of mine (mechanic) is going to look at it and see if something is loose. You are the 3rd person that think it may be the timing belt. If it is, it is under my warranty. Thanks again for your help and God bless.

could be a bad coil pack, crank sensor, or even the PCM itself.

I found out what it was, the Distributor system. I will never buy another Chrysler car as long as I live.

ditto. Chrysler sucks, and spare parts are a rip off. I'm getting rid of my 98 Cirrus LXi ASAP.

Re: Now my 95 Cirrus won't start

same thing happened to my 95 cirrus, but mine stalled in an freaking intersection. distributor just died. some really nice people helped move my car out of the way and a really nice lady let me use her cell.

worst part was, i had to pay 80 bucks to get it towed home... 100 metres away.
