the bug won mostly because a vw is so light, and it was turbocharged. it has a better off the line start and because of the turbo i guess it also gained a lot of top end. my dad's bug (which isn't fast compared to most of the ones just for racing) does a 0-60ft of 1.48-1.6 seconds. i'm not sure of it's 0-60mph time though.

Thats a pretty fast bug. =) I wonder how much pounds of boost the VW bug had that beat the Enzo. Must have had a lot of boost to be able to beat that car. I heard the Enzo was really fast.

Re: 350 vs. NSX

meh, it probably had 20 lbs of boost. if a bug has 500-600 hp it'll run 10's in the 1/4 mile enzos run 11's with a 0-60mph time of 3 seconds. so it doesn't suprise me that a street legal bug can beat one. there's someone that has a 10 second street bug. turbo charged. it's his daily driver too, not his racecar. anyways, the power to weight ratio between an enzo and a bug is probably about the same, the bug might even have the upper hand when it comes to power to weight

Re: 350 vs. NSX

i drove an nsx. the power lies in cornering. i think short of redoing the entire undercarriage of the car, theres very little you can do to the 350 to amke it corner better than the nsx. oh and everything that korn is for nissan, i am for honda. although i do see the validity in powerful motors which is what nissan is good at, i think they need to go back to the drawing board and try to figure out this thing called autocross

Well I don't think the NSX can beat the 350z in the quarter mile. So maybe in that sense Honda should go back to the drawing board no? =)
