Back again and yes another LS trans issue
Okay few weeks ago began having issues shifting into drive and reverse would shift very hard. Hard shift between 2nd and 3rd. 3rd and 4th.
Went to Ford had computer reflashed No help Replaced solenoid pack. It cleaned up the hard shift to drive and Park about 60% of the time. It also cleared up the hard shifts between gears about 60% of the time. So if it was the solenoid pack that was the issue something else is also wrong. The evening after solenoid pack was replaced the car decided to stall. It has stalled two more times over the past week. It also seems to want to stall at random times while sitting. The other thing I've noticed Since switching the solenoid was this wanting to stall seems to happen when I come to a stop and then go to take off it seems as if I have no power and it bogs slightly just for a Split Second. I only have one code it's for the EGR not sure that that would cause this because I've had that code since I purchased the car. I'm a little lost as to what to think because this extra stuff all took place after the solenoid switch. Any other advice or information to point me in some form of direction would be great. |

One other thing that has happened twice while accelerating I hear a whining noise decently loud coming from somewhere. Not sure what it was but it goes away and doesn't come back when you let off throttle and reapply

Re: Back again and yes another LS trans issue
Update I guess. I decided to pull the drain plug to the pan and found myself to be about 3 quarts low. Filled it up drove it around. Hard shifts into reverse and dried still exist as well as between certain gears.
Something I found interesting after I parked the car put it back in reverse it shifted very hard into reverse and then I heard about 20 clicks coming from the transmission. The kind of click sound that you get if you accidentally put your transmission in Reverse or Park while you're moving. |

Re: Back again and yes another LS trans issue
Um yeah. As i posted brought it to ford. Scanned only egr code.
So i guess im asking myself these questions So here goes So with the new solenoids in Im sure its either Valve body Servo pin/s Clutch Bands I guess I'm going to have to start in that order since the difficulty of work and cost of parts are in that order also. Thanks for the help guys I'm sure I'll be back to ask myself some questions considering I own an LS |
