89 CRX Radiator Support

Here goes...

My freind (95 Civic Man) spun a bearing in his D16...he waited two months to get his ZC (real) and it was finished last night (11:30 pm), with the exception of fluids. The transmission fluid bolt was stripped so we just drove it to his house. We were jacking up the car, and he decided to put the jack under the radiator support . It pushed everthing including the radiator up, and now we cant access the hood latch to get the hood open for the tranny.

I was thinking we could forcefully remove (i.e. cutting, hacking) the front bumper so we could get the hood open, then get a new radiator support (i.e. junkyard)

Tell me what you think, and share you insight if you have a better solution.............please.

btw, his CRX is located here: http://tlag.8k.com

Doesn't the radiator support require lots of cutting and welding to get off and then back on? Could be a bitch to do, but doesn't sound like you have much of a choice.
