Are Door Panels Interchangeable?
Will the door pannels from a 88-89 civic fit a 90-91? i am asking this because i know the window is smaller on the 90-91.... but when i get my 4pt. harness i am gonna take out the seatbelts out of the door, but i dont want the hole there.... So, i was gonna take door pannels off a 88-89 and put em on because thee will be no holes for the seatbelt....

Yea, i heard about that, the 90-91 civic's in Canada have the belt on the pillar, but those door panels fit the US panels....... Now, where can i get a set of canadian door panels?

Okay yes and no.... i did this. I have a base model 90 that had the door mounted belts, i put 4points in and wannted to change door panels. A buddy of mine sent me Candian Si door panels.... They are the same shape and will fit fine..... there are only two things that need to be changed..... one is not all of the tabs that pop into the doors are in the same spots.... i just drilled new holes. second is that on the top rear of the panles the Si ones are longer.
this was my old door panel: this was the new Canadian Si door panel see the difference?? if you have anymore questions i can post some more pics ofhte new ones on my car and what they look like. edit: sorry for the big pics...

door panels
Yeah, man I'm from canada and I've only seen the door mounted seatbelts in this forum and thought they were crazy. I've never seen them before, any wrecker in Canada would for sure have what your looking for. I've owned both a 88-89 and now a 90-91 and neither had the door mounted seatbelts.

Hey travis. I was thinking about doing the same thing after I get some harnesses. How did you modify the panels to fit? Did you just cut the corner to match?
