P/N for AC compressor isn't correct
Car mfg'd in Mexico 2/03. The Vin 3FAFP11313R142310 shows Ford compressor 3S4219713A which is not the one on the vehicle. We bought the car new in 2003 and have never had to replace any A/C before. Husband wants to do job himself so it would be best to buy a complete compressor w/clutch assembly, let him install then take to get freeon. Problem is all parts show mounting on back not side and hose hookups are 2 together on top. Called Ford dealer's and all keep telling me the same thing but it is not the same. Can anyone tell me where to look?

I would take the compressor off and take it to Ford and let them match it up. Ot take it to a parts store if you prefer.

Re: P/N for AC compressor isn't correct
Unless your husband is licenced in a/c repair he's probably not going to have the proper equipment to do the job without just releasing the freon into the atmosphere which carries a huge fine (up to $25000. I think) if caught and it is also against federal law for anyone who is not licensed to open up the a/c system. Sorry this isn't pertaining to your question, but just thought if you didn't know these things you should be made aware of the risks involved.
