Please Help! 1994 Blazer stuck in 4WD!

Hello everybody,

I was out in the snow driving around today and when I pulled into my parking lot a went to shut off the 4WD-Hi, but it wouldn't dis-engage. I hear no "click" from behind the glove box like a normally do when the system engages/dis-engages. What should I check? Fuse? Vaccum line?

Also, how bad will it tear up the transfer case driving with it stuck like that? the roads here are pretty slushy and wet right now.

BTW...the truck is a 4 speed auto w/ push-button 4WD. 4.3L engine.

I had the same problem over the summer.I put the truck in park and then put it in reverse and backed up about a foot and it disengaged.
