2001 626 window goes down but loses power going back up
Hi,
I have a 2001 626 that is having an odd issue with the front window. The window goes down fine but when you try to get it back up, it loses power and doesn't go up again. You can only get it up inch by inch every 10 minutes. Seems something is overheating and causing it to lose power when the motor is under pressure. The motor is fine and works ok when not under load. I pulled apart the motor and it looks brand new inside (regulator has been replaced with 3 different units so I know it's not that). When it goes up and down without the window attached, it breaks down after the 3rd time. If it was the regulator or relay, I imagine all the windows would have this issue. Maybe the switch? I'm at a loss. Anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks! |
