1987 Dodge B250 electrical?
a little problem, maybe someone here can help.
No headlights, no tailights, no radio, no horn. Outside of that, everything is fine, starts fine, runs fine, has turn signals, blower motor. I checked all the fuses, all fine there. Just today, bought a repair manual, it said somethings about "fusable links", in the Brake Booster area, on Firewall. Haven't checked those yet, found this forum, thought i might save myself a lot of work, by asking someone a lot smarter than me, concerning an electrical issue. I haven't driven the van much for a couple years, actually have it for sale. Just last night, thought i should check it over, noticed the radio wasn't working, no horn, and no lights. The radio has blown a fuse before, but i have never had a light problem before. Thanks in Advance for your help here, nice Forum. |

Re: 1987 Dodge B250 electrical?
ok, folks, if i had waited a few minutes to post, i would have had my answer.
It's been raining here for a few hours, the Van was setting outside in the rain. I just went out and started it to move it, guess, waht, the darn lights are working. So, it would seem i have a ground problem, i just have to run it down, where that particular ground is. |

also check the block connector where it goes through the firewall as I had similar problems of everything-lights,windows,locks all go dead more than once and someone had already pulled the red/white wire out of the block and rewired it! still had a bad connection with corrosion.
