Magnaflow VS Borla Exhaust

Which one is better?? The magnaflow or the Borla?? I want one that will give me hp gain and a quiet but not too quiet of a sound. I hear magnaflow is very quiet and adds between 1-5 HP, but I heard the magnaflow before and it gains like 7-9 HP. Anyone got any soundclips of any of these two exhausts?

aight, i have magnaflow and i can say that it has beautiful sound and i really felt the difference, plus confirmed a gain with the dyno. Borla is good too, don't know much about it. Go to www.magnaflow.com and they have sound clips.......one is for the RSX as well.

It's not insanly loud, but it is 7db higher than the stock exhaust in 1st and 5db higher than stock in 2nd, but after that its only 1db higher. The best thing about this exhaust is that it's a deep sound, not a high pitched chainsaw like sound. In none of the gears does it resemble a chainsaw.

I hope this helps.

magnaflows sound good, nice deep tone without interior noise. at idle it sounds quite, but when you accelerate it gives a nice tone without being too loud. the stainless steel ones look nice with quality made.

Have you guys had any problems with corrosion on the Magnaflow cat? I think it's all stainless, right- but any rust along the welds? I live in Mass.- need an exhaust that can make it through the winter without looking like shit...

i'll let u know after this winter is over, haha...but i think the cool thing about 301 steel is that i wont rust under those conditions, its better than anotized metal cause if it gets scratch it wont rust in that spot... this should hold true around the welds

the tip is 4 or 5 inches, which ever you want. Believe me, it doesn't look rediculous, it's very aggressive and goes well with the sound. Yes i did do the installation myself, all you need is a lift. Its a matter of taking off 4 bolts, drop the pipe and the muffler, and install magnaflows. It sound take anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes, depends on how tight the bolts are and if you have any rust, u shouldn't i mean damn the car is only 3 years old by production.

BORLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just a universal borla muffler on my 94 ex and its the best sounding honda ive ever heard. I am pretty sure that the black 5th gen civics from the fast and the furious have magniflow and it sounds like shit compared to my exaust.

One thing that characteristic of borla exaust is that its dead silent at idle.

My borla is very deep and smooth at all rpms and has no hint of the infamous honda fart exaust noise that you get with 98% of the honda catbacks out there.

Borla is also one of the highest performace exaust.

DUDE, borla is great, but u can't say its best for the RSX from what you hear on ur civic, different engine, different sound, different. However, if not magnaflow then borla or invidia.......all 3 are great, the main thing about magnaflow is that the flow isn't restricted or redirected like other exhaust, basically straight, and the sound sounds like it has 3 resinators in it.
