Re: Sup
Dude if it doesn't have an evo engine in it the first step to upgrading it is this- PUT ONE IN IT. saying that as politely as possible of course, and if you don't got the cash ur SOL(shit outta luck). Of course then again, you can always try the last two posts... they might work?lol
here is a site to look for jdm engines http://www.tokyomotorimports.com/eng...5%20Turbo.html kinda pricy but maybe you can find it for cheep on another jdm site. |

Re: Sup
You cant just put an evo engine in a regular lancer, they're pretty much not even the same car.

Wrong, I know of plenty of EVO powered Lancers and Mirages and Gallants running around. In most of them it was just a straight bolt in withsome extra plunbing and wiring. Of course if your talking about a Jap spec lancer, well then it can be a bit fiddly, but only because the new generation EVO (7,8,9) is based on the Japanese Cedia, so its a bit bigger and the enigne mounts etc are different. On an older generation Lance its a very easy swap, allow the FWD's arnt the best chassis in the world so its most commonly done on the GSR's which are already powered by the EVOs little sister engine anyway. And, oh, yes, there were several generations of US spec Lancer (that actualy used the Cedia body) that have a version of the 4g62/3 that spins in the wrong direction, and is mounted on the wrong side. That makes things a little more complex. But the basic body structure and suspension is still the same.
