CCRM in 03 zx2
My blower motor and a/c compressor are not working. As much as research as I can find I am guessing it is the CCRM which is causing this problem. Could someone please send a simple breakdown of what I am looking for when i pull the part out and open it up. Also most of these threads weren't for the 03 model, are they the same part as in a 01?
Thanks! |

Re: CCRM in 03 zx2
Hi, welcome to the forum. The CCRM is not involved in blower motor operation so I wouldn't replace it until you check out the blower motor circuit first. With a bit of luck you'll find that whatever is preventing the blower from working is also preventing the A/C from working, and hopefully CCRM replacement will not be necessary.
The two circuits share a common ground at the A/C heater control panel (the panel with the switches located on it), so I'd start by checking that ground connection. The blower motor circuit is quite straightforward to work on, electrically speaking, but gaining access to it might be awkward because of course the wiring is hidden away behind the panel. If you want to do some electrical fault-finding on the circuit then let me know and I'll explain how the blower circuit works, and what to test for. You would need a basic multimeter or a 12 volt test lamp, preferably a multimeter though. If you go to www.autozone.com and click on Repair Info, then Vehicle Repair Guides and then select your vehicle, you'll find the wiring diagram for the blower motor in the Wiring Diagrams section, shown on the list as Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning 2003. |
