With my limited knowledge of computers (I can turn them on, off and send emails!! woohoo ) I tried to reverse the image, shade it, enhance it, dim it etc etc but I think we need Le Man or Payso (or someone equally adept at Computer imagery) to work their magic...

When something is underexposed you can often bring out some extra detail with photoshop or the like. If something is overexposed, especially from reflections, there's little that can be done to bring back the detail.

Chassis #022 was always a very dark metallic blue - almost black.

I can only add that based on the location of the decals on the plate, it does not appear to be the F1 Bernd Pischetsrieder crashed as the decals on that plate were offset more to the left side and these appear centered.
