P1404 after the EGR and tube have been cleaned
99 Trooper with 106K miles.
( Needs plugs and timing belt ) P1404 after the EGR and tube have been cleaned. Started out with the P040x codes so once again, so I cleaned the EGR system. 1) Cleaned the EGR, the pindle freely moves, neither side is gunked up. 2) Cleaned the tube and it is clear from one end to the other. Now I am getting a P1404 after putting everything together. I have messed with the electrical connector several times, nothing helps. How can I test the EGR itself ? Do they ever go bad ? |

yes they do go bad, but ....
have you looked at the FAQ, one of the "IMPORTANT" locked threads at the top of forum index page? FAQ#1 deals with this. check it out and see if you still have questions http://isuzufaq.ibctech.ca/#faq1 //bc
