Re: S-10 Pickup vs Eclipse

i had a 91 eagle talon TSi. (turbo) it was fast as hell. it was auto. i heard the Manual had bigger turbos. i will tell you the only cars i lost to was a new z28 and a bmx (not sure of the series.) if theres anything done with the car, its a fast car. i would say the car. i would even put money on the car. but do remember, they put superchargers on them s-10 and s-10 blazers a while back. they were the fastest in something. no sure. also if its AWD, he will grip as the truck will spin, he'll get the jump.

Hey dickhead, I own an S10 Blazer, not "jap crap".

I will be honest and state I made a Mistake on the weights.

S10 = 3029lbs with Engine http://www.carsdirect.com/research/c.../base/features

Eclipse = 3270lbs with engine
http://www.engine-power.com/mitsubishi/eclipse_gsx.html

My bad, I made a booboo but I can still guarantee that the eclipse will hook up better off of the line and take him.

I'd even put money on it.

OK... THE TALON WAS VERY QUICK. HOWEVER, I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH YOU. THE S-10 IS A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. THE ECLIPSE IS ALL WHEEL DRIVE. THE DIFFERENCE IS, THE ECLIPSE, IS ONLY EQUIPED WITH A TUBO, AND, ANYONE THAT UNDERSTANDS BOOST, KNOWS THAT A TURBO CAN NOT MATCH A SUPERCHARGE. THESE S-10`S ARE DAMN QUICK WHEN SO EQUIPED. THE S-10 HAS THIS ONE HANDS DOWN.

Re: S-10 Pickup vs Eclipse

I Wondered How Long It Would Take You To Ask That.. As A Matter Of Fact I Most Certainly Have. My Brother In Law, Owns A 1996 S-10. 4.3, Blown And Injected.the Only Thing That Has Ever Beatin It, Was A 440 Cuda. The Truck Runs In The Low 10`s At The Local Dragway. It Is Absolutly Amazing. Gotta Do It Before You`ll Beleive It. If I Can, I Will See If I Can Get Some Pictures Of It And Post Them Here If Possabile. Like I Said Before, Don`t Sell The S-10 Short. They Can Be Devistating.

S10 in the low 10s with Nitrous and a supercharger?

Complete and udder 100% bullshit.

I could care less about pictures, they prove nothing. I want to see a timeslip or a video.

100% built Syclones or Typhoons don't touch 10s most of the time.

I am not writin off a 4.3L. I own one and know that they don't run 10s with a shot and a supercharger, they wouldn't even be able to hook up.

Re: S-10 Pickup vs Eclipse

theres no way the truck can weigh 4800-5200 pounds because my blazer only weighs 4000 i would think the blazer weighs more.
