Vitara 2.0L Engine Problem
Hi,
i want to ask if anyone has ever had a problem with a vitara 2 door manual with the 2.0L j20A motor before. I have just bought one (1998 model) but only 24000Kms and it seems to hesitate and "lean out" while driving. It is most noticable in 1st thru 3rd gear. and is worst when cold outside. This is an Australian released model. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thankyou |

Possibly a clogged fuel filter? OR a cat converter starting to go?

Is it a Desel? My Gas 2.0 has no prblems of that sort, just the usual gears being kinda slow to shift.

Duh.....leaning out..........that is what I did not pay attention to.........that is more in line with an o2 sensor going .........its not reading the exhaust gas correctly, thinking its too rich and telling the PCM to lean it out.
Not to be funny, but have you checked the air filter too?
