If you have subs in your car, click here.
Ok, I was thinking today about when I had my Prelude. I had 4 12" JL Audio W6s each getting 1000 watts from a MTX 2150x amp. Anyways, I was remembering back, and I could set off other people's car alarms. Have any of you done this? Or can any of you do this?

I've done it a few times. It makes me feel good, like I got something good in my trunk. Even though what I have isnt really strong. I have two MTX 6000 series 12's and a 600 watt 4 channel Lightning Audio amp pushing them. 4 guage wire, Pioneer mids and highs, Pioneer head unit. I want an Eclipse player. I'm actually planning on making a new box tomorrow that will have my subs and amp flush mounted into the floor of the trunk. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it, and it'll sound/look nice. Oh, by the way, I've only set off Integra alarms with my shit for some reason. Maybe five or six different Integras. Never any other type of car. Weird.

MTX
I didnt think anyone really rocked MTX. My friends all have JL's or Rockford. I got a MTX amp from out of a car while I was working at a dealership, I think its a 4160 or something like that, its an older model though, not a Thunder. I also got 2 12" MTX Thunder 4000s, which arent the best but they hit pretty hard.

BRO....
It totally ROCKS!! Quick and handles like a dream although last night I went spinning all over the road because I was a little TOO confident in the handling ability, but its all good. I went Saturday to the dealership because my wife wanted to see the new Altima... We walk in and WOW... right there on the floor was a Silver 02 Spec V with the Rockford system and everything. I was DAMN. I stopped selling Nissans right before the Altima and I forgot the Spec was coming out. The salesman walks up and hes like blah, blah, blah. I said I want to drive that *points to Spec V* I scared the salesman shitless and totally fell in love with it. I've driven ALOT of cars, but for some odd reason this one was meant for me. I trade in a 99 Sentra 1.6L and maybe thats why this one feels so good to me. I recommend it and I think Honda/Acura is going to have problems on their hands with this one, plus its different which is another reason I like it.
Damn, and I promised myself no more Sentras DAMN!

Well... I have only one sub in the trunk. It's too bad that it's not powered to its full potential. That's ok...
I've set off many alarms by my exhaust!

You guys get dimming lights when your bass is hitting hard? I do all the time and someone told me that I would blow my alternator if I didnt get something they said. I was looking through Crutchfield and saw "Striking Caps" its suppose to send power to your battery or your amp when you need it. Anyone have these? If so, how long do they last? Because they cost 80-100 bucks.

They're called capacitators
Yeah, I know what you are talking about. They are called capacitators. They come in .5 farad and 1 farad. I dont think they make them any larger. Yeah, they regulate power and help your battery out so it doesnt get drained as easily. You can get a Lightning Audio cap for cheaper than that. You should look into it if you are interested in one. You can get one pretty cheap off of ebay.

yeah, you should definately have a cap if you're gonna have a good system. I had two 1 farad caps in my car, here's what they looked like. I guess I can't find a good pic of mine, here you can just see the top of it.
