Exclamation 93 Cutlass Ciera 3.1L V-6..........

Daughter bought the car, guy told her it had a bad maf. Replaced it and exhaust. Still ran erratic when first taking off, once up to speed ran fine. Died one day like it was out of gas. Couldnt get it to restart. Have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, maf, crankshaft sensor, coil packs check out good, plugs and wires replaced, oil changed. Starts and idles good, once car idles for a few minutes and warms up runs erratic, sputters around and dies. Can hook up fuel pressure guage, can hear new pump kick on, car starts, pulls 40 lbs. on guage, as car warms drops to 30 lbs., starts to sputter around. Continues to drop on guage and dies. Can cycle key on and car starts again will 40 lbs. of pressure and repeats the whole dying process!! No codes on engine, have had 2 mechs look at it, and they are shaking and scratching their heads!!

Any ideas?
Would pull my hair out BUT it is already gone!!!!

Guys thanks in advance!!!!

It will not run at 30 psi fp, pump or blocked fuel filter. BTw, there is a filter on the end of the pick up in the tank, I ssume that was also replaced?

That was my point, the car will not maintain the proper pressure of 40 lbs. Yes the filter was changed at the pickup. My question that i am seeking an answer for is why it will not maintain the proper pressure.

OK, pinch off the return line from the FP regulator see what happens. Basic stuff.
