89 golf gti wont start :(
Hi guys recently i bought it off my friend. the car was running great until i went to start it. the fuel pump wouldnt prime. checked pump motor it was working so left it for a couple of days. came back to it and it started. then driving along the road it stalls, i tryed to start it and again the pump would not prime. so then we changed the pump relay with a new one, it started. now the other day i went to go start it and it would not prime so i replaced the relay with the old one. boom it starts, yesterday i tryed starting it and it wouldnt start. swapped the relay and nothing. i have no idea whats going on. please help

Ohm out the wire from the fp relay to the fp. shouldnt be more than .2-.4ohm max

yah ive already started gutting the insides. the guy who had it before me oh man, the wiring is a HORRIBLE job thers spliced live wires everywhere. its disgusting. fixing it all up now. and the wiring for the deck is just amazing. if i were to hit the heat on and shake the console a bit the deck power woudl cut out. its amazing. pretty much going threw the whole wiring of the car now.
