cheap good wheels n tires, will they fit?

I checked and got all the spec on the OZ wheels that come on the OZ packaged mitsubishi lancer.

15x6 inch rim and a 46mm offset 4 X 114.3 bolt pattern

I believe these will fit our cars. my only worry is the width. does anyone here have at least 6 inch wide wheels on thier geo? I see OZ sets on Ebay all the time when the lancer guys get tired of them. me personally only want wheels 15 to 16 inches tall and the added width could handle whatever my little geo could do.

with the offset being to high it only means they will stick out 6 extra mm's right? i was just worried about rubbing because the wheels are wider than the stock spare tire donuts my car came with!

Question

Do you mean the inner plastic fenderwell piece? i could remove that. but if you are talking about the outer fenders and outer quarter panels then to hell with it. Are you talking about the wheel or the tire hitting ?because i could always buy smaller tires than came on the lancer.

I'm using a set of ROH 15"X6 rims with a 40mm offset. 195/60R15 toyo proxies, and they still hit the metal on the fender and the rear quarter panel a bit.

I remember someone saying that 195/45/r15 are the best fit for metros. I don't remember is he said that it would hit something or not though...
Those tires are for 6 to 7'' wheels by the way

geozuki, is your car lowered? i was also wondering if I could just roll the fenders a bit? are you talking about the inside of the fenderwheels or the outside painted body of the car? i would think anything grinding inside the wheel could be modified to allow more space?

Just the very inner edge of the fender lip. If I rolled mine, they would be prefect. Yes, it's lowered 1.75". It's a ROUGH ride

geo zuki what did you use to lower it? i have heard people using old escort stock springs. geo springs bow get wider in the middle were you can't cut off a coil but i guess the escort springs are straight up and down.

I used a set of real race springs. Intrax. I'll link a pic of my intrax springs-vs-stock springs when I get home tonight. They're lowww. And they are REALLY stiff. No swaybars on my ride, and it has very minimal body roll.

no sway bars in the rear or front? my rear was has broken free with rust were it mounts and i was going to have to fabricate a piece or weld it to get it back right. but I trust your opinion as far as geo's go so i might just go your route.
