pcv valve location 97Mountaineer
Can anyone tell me where the valve is, is it under the giant intakes on the V8
|

It should be on a short tube extending off of one of your exhaust manifolds. I believe there are two bolts holding it on. When you install the new valve make sure you clean the gasket surface really well while getting the least amount of debri in the tube as possible.

I have a 97 5.0 Mountaineer and I've replaced the PCV valve, they are correct that it is on the back passenger side but mine didn't have any bolts holding it in. it just slipped in and out of the rubber grommet, but it was definitely a pain to get to!!!!!
