4x4 light works when it wants to.
When i hit the button on my 99 tahoe for 4wd "hi" it wont turn on.... it will turn on if i hit a big bump or something, but then go out.... is my 4wd not working, or is it just a bulb behind the dash that is loose?
Thanks, Matt |

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I had same problem in my truck. 04 Silverado 4x4. Took it in being under warranty and all. They had to replace the transfer case controller module. $600 later. Before I took it in, I was able to get it to work in a pinch by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes to reset the PCM. Good luck.

When i push on the dash right around the switch it will come on.... The 4x4 works perfectly, just the light in the switch only works when i push on the dash right next to the switch..... Could just the switch be bad? or just the wiring harness need to be plugged in better, or the light bulb not be plugged in correctly... i will take the dash surround off today and see if those things are the problem..
Thanks, Matt |
