Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Thank you for the comments, the tough weather doesn't allow me to paint; I have realized at the lathe two rings of reinforcement and finish for the back of the rear wheels. The rings has been reamed with a corner of 6° and chamfered at 30°.

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Thanks for the comment, in this period I have some problem for this reason there have been no updates, the weather in northern Italy doesn't help me and the paint job of the rear wheels is a long task because of the small imperfections in the point of union between styrene and aluminum, puttyed , sanded and primed more times.

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

The sanding job on the rear weels is finally ended: has taken two weeks and not less than 5 fine layers of primer every one checked, puttyed and sanded again, tomorrow the final layer of Vallejo satin,i hope in the end of a nightmare for the weels. If i could return back I would not make the rear wheels in aluminum but simply confine me to regularize the diameters of the original ones at the lathe.

Just a stunning build. Such skill and patience - the VIN plate showed me just how much research you have put into this car.

Breathtaking.

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Also the new extinguishers are ok,the 4 bolts has been machined as usual from 1,5 mm brass, this task results very precise, and I could also think about not using the glue to definitely fix them in place.

Re: 935 turbo Martini (hundreds of machined parts)

Update: under the front hood the work is almost finished, in the circle the complete by-pass valve and the shocks tower top with new nuts completely machined at the lathe.
