Looks to me like you got the fuel distributor right. There's a braided line (the supply line) leading to it from the fuel filter under the coolant reservoir. If this is a Bosch Jetronic system (which I strongly expect it is), the next (preceding) things on that line will be a pressure accumulator (looks alot like another fuel filter), the electric fuel pump, and then the tank. 'Course if you can't see it, it's all just academic. Nicely done with the fuel injector lines- very orderly!

Re: Converting the BMW M1 Protour into a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 LeMans
argh! i was summoned for jury duty this afternoon - i escaped the morning session, but got the call at noon -- so i didn't get much done today. i've spent the past few days painting various bits but hope to start assembling the interior. i'm having some trouble, as there aren't a lot of references showing the interior of the Pozzi car i'm building. this is all i've got:
if anyone's got interior photos of the Pozzi car, i'd love to have them. wiith so little to go on, i'll have to make some educated guesses based upon these two photos of other 365s from the same era. i know the Pozzi car has its battery in the engine compartment because i've got a photo, and i assume the Pozzi car would have just the driver's seat if it raced at Le Mans. ditto for plain aluminum door panels -- i'm almost certain it didn't have the stock panels, with the leather upholstry, full arm rest and chrome speaker grille! so far i've prepped and painted the seat and dash, and i've painted and flocked the interior "tub." tomorrow (june 12) i hope to finish the dash -- gauges (Model Car Garage), various dash knobs (S27 pe) and scratch the other bits. it looks to me like there's some diamond-pattern steel or aluminum plate in front of the driver's seat of the Pozzi car. i'll also get the pleasure of building a roll cage. i'll also have to scratch build a steering wheel, as Italeri used the same steering wheel for both its 365 competition kit and its 288 GTo kit. |

Re: Converting the BMW M1 Protour into a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB/4 LeMans
I have finished the Giofication of the fuel injectors and pumps.
In the end I had to use a bit of creative license to connect the fuel lines to the injector pump. I was afraid that there was no way I would be able to bend the fuel lines to the pump a) cleanly and b) without breaking something in the process so I have pretended that BMW used a combination of soft and hard lines I finished off the fuel lines using fishing wire and made connectors out of pieces of insulation (just like spark plug boots). My work suffers a bit in macro-mode but it looks pretty good in reality. I also did a test fit to the body to see just how much this is visible after assembly. Compared to my normal standards, you can still see quite a lot actually Thanks for the KITA to do this Gio Thanks for looking in.
