X-5 Heater problem
I have a 2001 X-5 3.0 and the heater has stopped producing heat? The car engine temperature is fine and the fan/blower work fine. I did notice that the cooling button does not come on when pushed. Could this just be a fuse, or the sign of something more sinister?

Re: X-5 Heater problem
I found out the problem. There is a wheel control between the two fan vents on the dashboard. It turns out that if this is moved to the 3 blue dot configuration, no heat can leave the venting system. Also, if the dial is turned to the 3 red dot configuration, no cool air goes through the vent system. By adjusting the dial I was able to restore my heater.
