Delorean Power Drain
RE: '81 Delorean
When last running my car would drain the battery after sitting in the garage for less than a week. I was going to install one of the products called "Priority Start" that would alleviate this dilema of a dead battery. However the drain would still be there. Any hints on where to correct this drain of juice??? Thanks, Hz |

Re: Delorean Power Drain
Have you had this problem in the past? It could be a dying alternator which fails to charge the battery properly, casuing the battey to fail and lose charge while sitting. My D can sit for 6 months & start right up. Also, look at the connections to the alt - they can be corroded. Also the door lock box could be stuck "on" causing a drain.
