becuz u cant use a d16z6 dizzy unless your car is obd1 and seeing how my car is obd0 and i cant afford the whole conversion right now i have to make do with what i have plus i originally had the d16a6 ecu, intake, ecu obd0 in my car blew the engine bought a d15b7 (92-95 civic Lx/dx sohc non vtec mpfi)engine for 75 bux then the head blew so my friend GAVE me a sohc vtec head out of a 92-95 civic EX,but it was just the head not spark plugs no wires no dizzy just the solenoid n the head n valve cover,so in order for me to even use the z6 dizzy id have to buy the conversion wires for obd0-obd-1,then the z6 dizzy and ecu plus change my harness and intake all over to obd 1,so i could run the sensors and right now i just wanna sell the car for like 900 bux n save,so i can do a frankestien in my crx (hopefully),so i need pics of a d16a6 dizzy on a vtec head...cuz im pretty sure u cant mix obd 0 with obd 1...

Re: pics of a d16a6 ghetto dizzy on vtec head???

listen. take your d16a6 distributor and stick it in the slot in the cam of the z6 head. just as a base setting, turn the distributor towards the firewall until the top bolt hole on the head for the distributor is covered up by the front of the d16a6 distributor. get a timing light and check your ignition timing. set it at 16 BTDC (the middle mark). where the distributor is sitting is where it needs to be. use a little imagination and figure it out for yourself how to cut the distributor to get it to fit where the timing is correct.

well for me were it runs pretty good, but only the slot at the top head is lined up & i havent got a timing light yet... so i got like 1 bolt holding it in,it runs n drives good but if i dont shift threw all the gears when stoppin like if i just push in the clutch and coast it stalls?could this mean my timing is off or could it be somthin else?

you'll need to remove the parts outlined in black. the distributor should be rotated towards the firewall so that the top bolt is barely holding onto the distributor.

Re: pics of a d16a6 ghetto dizzy on vtec head???

i have this swap. it works but only back whole lines up. i took a piece of flat aluminum stalk about 3.5 to 4 inches long and drilled a whole in one ened then using the back whole on the dizzy loosely bolt in then cross over the next arm on the base of the dizzy and drill another whole in the stalk then bolt in the top of dizzy. not pretty but it works till u have the money to do it rite
