2017 Silverado My Link Touch Screen

I have a 2017 Silverado with the 8in Mylink touch screen that I purchased new. With the touch screen being so bright, I like to turn off the display at night (from the home screen, then settings, then display, then turn off display). This blanks the display however the radio still plays and you still get notifications and such. As of a couple of months ago when I turn off the display it randomly turns itself back on. According the Owners manual, once you turn the display off it will only come back on if the touch screen is touched, a button (radio or HVAC) is pressed or a notification is delivered to the system. Dealer replaced a couple of parts in effort to fix it and when not successful they found another vehicle with the same issue and told me it was functioning as designed. Anyone else have any experience with turning the display off and it randomly turning back on for no reason?
Thanks for the help.
