Cts = high insurance??
I'm looking at getting a new car this summer and well the CTS has caught my eye, everything else just doesn't do it for me. My insurance is high anyway because im 19 and have had my license only a couple years, i currently drive an old jeep grand cherokee so obvoulsy im going to be looking at a jump in insurance but how severe is it going to be. How much does everyone else pay? i want the 3.6 litre in black if that makes any difference. Any info you can throw at me will be greatly appriecated. Thanks!!

Re: Cts = high insurance??
Go see your agent and get a estimate of the cost. For me it runs just shy of $400 every 6 months with State Farm. But I am 3 times your age and have 3 vehicle insured with same agent. The CTS4 insurance is on par with the GMC truck I have.
I have a loaded 2009 CTS4 in Blue Diamond and I love the car. I had a 2005 CTS also and traded it in on the 2009. Here is a tease to get you pumped up....my 2009 a pic of CTS on the assembly line in Lansing, Michigan

Re: Cts = high insurance??
Very nice ride, i'm jealous i think a 04'-06' will be all i can afford, in Black. I also live in MA so my insurance options are few and not many incentives exist. I think ill just tough it up and realize its not going to be like insuring my 2k book value jeep. Thanks.

Re: Cts = high insurance??
Lots of good buys on used car now. I traded in my 2005 CTS (Loaded) and the dealer sold it for $20,500. It only had 29,100 miles.
Hold out for a low mileage vehicle if you can. It may cost a bit more but in the long run will pay for itself it less repairs. There is a Chrysler dealer near me sitting on a 2006 CTS in Silver for only $16,900. Been sitting on the lot since last fall. I bet they would less but its got the 2.8L engine. Have you been over to this site http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/

Re: Cts = high insurance??
Our 08 CTS insurance is very little higher than an 09 compact car that we also own.
