Re: Is there any souped-up Kia's

maybe i am wrong but i thought the older kias came with a mazda b6 and if that was the case then it would be almost a direct swap with the escort gt bp engine. then there would a lot of aftermarket support. these engine have been proven to push an couple hundred hp pretty easily. i dont know if this is true i am basing it off of when i wanted a b6 for my festiva and i was told i could get one from a early 90's kia

Kia had a lot of cars at SEMA this year. Look for some features upcoming in some of the import magazines.

souped up kia...

Streetkiaz.com is the best place to check out and see what is on the market for kias, there are tons of pics and advice there as well, shark racing really doesnt do much for the way of kias, one of the leading places is kfx (korean performance and accessories), they are constantly developing new parts specific to kia vehicles and are starting to work on hyundai as well...their website is www.kia-fx.com, check it and see whats happening....

Keyymaster

...you would be surprised what you can do with a Kia...

lol, why? so we can have more recalls in a week, than a kia has in it's lifetime?

kias are decent cars. they definiteily have alot of potential, and people need to start accepting that.

Alright you've proven yourself I take all previous comments back! It may be easier than I thought to "soup" up a KIA, But, I've yet to find anything that is remotely "souping" a Kia. My thoughts of how you would go about it would include body kits, upgrade engines, bigger/better disc brakes, you know vehicle specific things not just a good paint job and a decent spoiler! Send me any websites that have Kia specific body upgrades or performance upgrades. LXThunderbird93@yahoo.com

www.kfxperformance.com would be the most reputable, with www.teamsr.com or www.evofusion.com or whatever they're going by would be second. www.andysautosport.com has a few things, but they're very unreputable, and www.hdkautosport.com used to have a larger selection, but they were also hard to get a hold of.

OMG! that looks like a hideously poor imitation of a WRX. What an insult to Subaru! Whats it 1/4 with the turbo now, high 15's? Lol. I dont know why anyone would waste that kind of time and money on such a joke.

Seriously, save up and get a real sports car.

It runs a 13.9.. Not to mention that I also own a 1990 Lebaron that puts out 326hp and 396ft-lbs and bought the Kia as a reliable daily driver I just decided to do something to it. Oh and the lebaron runs a 12.7 in the quarter and it only cost about $8000 to build and buy the car.. You go find a "Real Sports Car" with those numbers for that price. Maybe trade in the 20 year old honda civic your parents bought you when you graduated high school.. Or maybe you should get back to studying for you science test seeing it is 10:15 on a Friday night and your mom is probally yelling at you to go to bed..

LOL. Sure. Those are your "online" times, right? Obviously a ghetto-tuner. I wouldnt brag about a LeBaron, no matter how fast you think it is, although probably better than braggin about a Psuedo-WRX. Maybe if YOU studied for your tests you would have a degree by now and would be able to afford a real sports car. I love making fools out of kids like you at the track.
