2001 Suburban airbag light comes in intermittantly

Hi all...
I just bought a 2001 Sub, 65k on it.. when driving it the airbag light comes on intermittantly, usually stays on for less than a minute then goes out... only to do it again anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes later. The occurance is pretty sparatic.. cant seem to find a pattern or any actions done while driving that triggers it. Im thinking a loose connection somewhere but I have no idea where to look. Any ideas/suggestions???

Thanks a million...

CB

Re: 2001 Suburban airbag light comes in intermittantly

This happened on my 2000 Yukon. It would come on and then go off. It was under warranty and it turned out to be a bad passenger side front air bag. It was replaced in 2001 and the light has not come back on since.

The right scan tool can read the air bag codes to tell you why the light is coming on.
