I transferd 455 mb worth of stuff the old folder appears empty an yet still stays the same size an its slowing my comp. Anyone have any Ideas?

Try deleting the folder after it's emptied. Run your disk defrag utility -- that should free it up. Franko914

You never mentioned what OS you are running. You could have hidden/system files in the folder. Change your folder display properties to display ALL files, including system and hidden files. Delete what you think is safe to delete. Boot up into Safe mode and try it then. Boot up into DOS if you can and try it then. Shut down all programs (Task Manager) and try it then.

Re: ! Files retaining space...
Try re-naming the file, but I doubt that will work. Is this file for an application or something?
Try Ctrl + Alt + Del -> select Task Manager or something similar, and under the processes tab, select the applications that you can't shut down there and click on End Process. ** Disclaimer: If you lose any valuable data or if your PC fucks up, I hold no responsibility. Do this at your own risk**

Re: Re: ! Files retaining space...
Tryd renaming doesnt work. It doesnt say which processes are running so I cant do that either.

Re: ! Files retaining space...
when your pc is booting up, hit f8 before you see the colourful XP boot screen (just keep hitting f8 after the bios part and it finds your drives)..pick boot with safe mode and then delete them...i imagine you have viruses and spyware, use mcafee stinger and lavasoft adaware and spybot, all other spyware utils are garbage imo

Re: ! Files retaining space...
Have you tried to run your disk defrag utility yet? This should at least free up the sectors used by the files you have already moved out of the folder.
