[Sami Aaltonen]

Very cautious mind I decided to pull up this Thread which I attend to update it in the future when got new drawings done.
I hope this isn't bad thing to do, I do not want it looks like I'll do anything to get popularity, I just want to share the passion of F1's here. Of course these are drawings, everyone has their own opinion is it good or not, this isn't the purpose to get judgement or anything; I just want to share the passion with you here. Hope you understand.

So lets start; the very very first drawing after 20? years of break? Not so good after all when look it now, but it was a good start. #21R from Monza pre-season testing, driver is JJ Lehto of course.


The second, again JJ Lehto with #26R and SPA 1997. A bit better result I think? Some reason the FINA Longtails have been up in the list....


And then the #01R, found a good an interesting image from Silverstone's testing, John Nielsen behind the streering wheel. This worked out quite well, but the most important thing is, I think the feeling is there.


Let's continue with #01R, some reason this chassis is one of the most important to me. The black color is a bit difficult to catch but this one is the finish line shot from 1995 Le Mans, only left out the background.


These next two are from Goodwood Press day 2013. Really can see the camera development from 1995 to 2013, good sharp images were plenty to choose.




Next the only GULF what I have done so far, loved the image from the Net but... well....it was quite hard to catch the right feeling, perhaps smaller size would have helped. #12R from Modena Trackdays 2009.


And back to 1995 Le Mans; the #06R Harrods car. This one I did before those #01R's, it worked out quite well but made a huge mistake some parts of it, but still love the feeling and color of this.


Let's continue with 1995 Le Mans, this one was at least that time when I did this: a bit too big challenge. #05R's livery from 1995 race images were too hard to catch. But I don't shame to show this here, love the livery and I did my best then, but perhaps have to try some other day again....
Then the #10R, found this image from FB, one of the best images from 1996 Le Mans what comes to #10R. Loved to draw it.


Let's keep on the GTR's just one more, the #14R from Goodwood 2013. One of the latest ones.



And the then... There is The LM. Clearly I have to continue to do these; love the orange color. I know I can do a lot better these days, so perhaps the future brings up some more LM's..... Defenitely!






Today I feel much more confident how and what to draw and how in the future. Every single time you learn and it's clearly seen these drawings. I can not wait how these are in the future.!

I hope at least someone here had the interest to look these through and like I said, just want to share the passion to F1. Not always need to buy things, you can do some of these by your own hands.
So in the future I will add some more when I have something to add.

You had a 20year break in drawing??? I wonder how good you were back then! Draw some more, to get up to your old level ;-)

Really I was scared to download these here, never know what people think, even it doesn't really matter because the most important thing is that I like them, I do these to my self.
Yes around 20 years break when last time did something more seriously.

Anyway; thank you very much for your kind words. I will upload in the future more these here, when I just get them ready.
Of course I have done drawings my other passion; Lamborghini, but I don't know is it OK to add here.

Anyway; I will update this Thread in the future.

Got finished these ones a while ago, the most difficultest what I have ever done, but the end result I think was more than I expected, specialty LM3 worked out very well.

1994 F1 XP4 again, loved the image and definitely wanted to try it.


And then the LM3. Loved the image which I saw long time ago. Turner Motorsports I think was the owner these days when this was taken?


More to come as soon as I have time to start a new projects. These last 3 were quite interesting to do, the carbon fiber isn't the most easiest one to do.
But more to come as soon as I can.

Thanks, every time I feel I can do something better and now when looking back those first ones.. Oh my......how poor they were.
