Re: The Spyder and The GST

Thank you.

Tranny swaps in FWD's are pie with the engine still in. I'm not too sure on the difficulty of dropping an AWD tranny. I imagine it would be a little more involved seeing as you have a transfer case to deal with.

Re: The Spyder and The GST

What colors you have in mind? I've always been a fan of gun metal, just a thought

Re: The Spyder and The GST

I had my mind set on a black base, then doing a blue pearl on top. But I have somewhat talked myself out of trying a pearl at my skill level. Me and my buddy were looking at it last night and he suggested yellow with gunmetal rims. Yellow has always stuck in my mind as a ricey color, but I actually think it will look bad ass, especially with gunmetal rims.
Gunmetal as a body color though....I actually think it looks great on DSM's. Im just tired of seeing it. Back when I used to get on Tuners alot, it was like everytime someone painted theirs, it was gunmetal, and if their car wasnt gunmetal they wanted it that color.

Re: The Spyder and The GST

I dont perticularly like this car but I do think yellow suits the bodystyle of a 2g well.

Re: The Spyder and The GST

Idk about that yellow. What about all black w/ blacked out tails and tinted windows. Black rims with brushed lip. 17s or maybe 18s. Hids up front and if your into underglow, go with red. I'm into the nightrider look!

Re: The Spyder and The GST

Im not into the black wheels with poilshed lip. Maybe gunmetal with polished lip. If I go black on the car I will definately do the blue pearl on it, not just standard black.

Re: The Spyder and The GST

Not that anyone cares but heres my car. Dont mind the white fender thats all jacked up its not the one im using. Also the front sheetmetal is just lightly bolted on, it isnt lined up. I also have side skirts to go on.

So, a little change of pace on the car. Ive been wanting a hammered/dumped car for a while. Got inspired by all the guys with hondas riding an inch off the ground on coilovers. Like this:

I dont know of any coils designed to go that low for a DSM, nor do I want to spend $1000+. A guy I know needed money and I ended up buying an air kit off of him...I didnt even want it, I bought it for the valves and compressor to put on our s10.....but I decided the only way for me to ride low with the eclipse is air. Here it is:

The front was layed out but due to clearance issues I had to put ingalls upper ball joints in the front and lost atleast an inch of drop. I could cut a relief in my strut towers and go super low but I dont think I want to go that route.

What do you think?
