Monocoque nose Plate. SMS GT One

I've been down for several weeks b/c of moving, and I'm finally building again, and I've pulled out the GT One I've been working on for several months.

Tonight I've stared messing around w/ some of the photoetch parts in the Scale Motorsport detail set, and one of the pieces is a monocoque nose plate, and I don't have the slightest idea where this thing is supposed to go. Most of the PE parts replace kit parts, but this appears to be something that wasn't included in the kit.

So does anyone have any idea where this thing might go? I can take pictures of the kit if it might be helpful, but I would need to know where to take pic's of. I don't know whether this thing goes inside the cockpit, or under the nose somewhere around the suspension.

Take pics of the PE part. It sounds like it might be the part that would be like firewall, between the footwell and the suspension.

it's the bulkhead and the front of the chassis where the main monocoque ends. Think of the way an F1 car looks like with nose section taken off.

Thanks a ton for the help.

935k3, your pic isn't showing, but now that you guys have mentioned firewall/bulkhead, it makes a lot of sense, I'll have to try it out tonight when I get home.

Re: Monocoque nose Plate. SMS GT One

Thanks for the help guys. I got the part glued on last night w/o any issues. Not entirely sure how much use it'll be on my build, but it would be an awesome part to have if building the car w/ the nose removed. I've got several pictures I've found on the net of the real car w/ its nose removed, so I have the references for it, but I dont think I want to take the build quite that far, but if I do, the part is there for me to use.
