B16a + S-AFC?
How much extra rwhp would a b16a make if tuned with an Apexi S-AFC? He also needs a new vtec controller, so does anyone have any experience with the V-AFC or AVC-R? Which one give you the abilities of vtec control with the AFC capabilities?

If he's looking for vtec control in addition to fuel control, just go with the V-AFC. It's essentially the S-AFC with the added vtec control. The AVC-R is boost control, so unless he's running turbo you don't need it. |

The more mods you add to the motor then the more you will benefit from fiddling the stock A/F ratios. But unless you replacing cams or going for some kind of forced induction then I dont think its really worth the money. Same is true for the VTEC controller, the stock ECU actualy does a far better job of picking the change over point as it is able to work with about a 500rpm band, depending on engine speed, vechile speed and throttle position. A VTEC controler is only able to work at one set RPM point, and is unable to allow for differnt driving situations. But if you get some more aggresive cams, then they may benifit from a differnt change over point.
