i was j/w how much horsepower an eagle performance v-tec conversion would add? and if it was a good deal for around $140? because unfortunatly it came with the SOHC non v-tec motor in it..

Re: v-tec conversion

The conversion kit doesn't add hp it makes a head swap easier. If you're talking about a D-series motor then you don't need it. You need to give more info if you want help. What car are you refering to, your '95 civic? What engine do you have, the stock civic engine?
It's like saying "how much would this motor cost to swap in?" and not explaining what kind of motor was being talked about.

To start the vtec conversion dosen't make your engine a vtec, you need to get a vtec head to do that, and i think golden eagle only makes vtec conversion kits for dohc head but i might be wrong. but the best ting for you to do is get a b16 swap. Espcially if you have a stock engine and want more performance.
