Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3R
Porsche fanatic here.
Decided to do somewhat of a hybrid for the interior based on a few of the reference photos I've come across. I've already completed a good amount so far before remembering to actually take photos, but I'll keep putting them up now as I go along. Using a good amount of various 20G to 26G wires for the lines, as well as a bunch of 4-0 and 5-0 nylon threads for the finer wires. Last edited by blumenfe; 12-24-2014 at 01:08 PM. |

Bit more done on the interior.
Finished the body a while back. Will post the chassis later. Last edited by blumenfe; 12-24-2014 at 12:47 PM. Reason: changed pics from thumbs |

The completed chassis so far.
Added a bit of foil to the exhausts, broke apart and remade the suspension using thin black wire to make it a bit more realistic. |

Re: Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3R
Used Miyuki 15/0 and 10/0 matte black beads to represent the plug for the wire behind the seat.

Nice work. Looks like we share the technique of using black thread to replicate zip ties. I put a dab of superglue on the knot and then draw it tight. Works great.

Yup. Those are either 4-0 or 5-0 nylon threads (can't remember exactly) that I used on the rollcage.

Re: Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3R
I wanted the dash to have the air vents present in all of the reference photos, as well as the detail behind the steering wheel, but the kit doesn't really do a good job of showing this:
So, I had to do a bit of surgery. First, I cut the bottom bit off of the dash, since it wasn't nearly long enough. Then, I just flipped it upside-down, and glued it back on after shortening it a bit and puttying in the blank spots. You can see I've already sanded off the buttons on the central console and marked out the spaces for the new more detailed buttons. After that, I just drilled the holes for the vent, and opened up the space for the steering wheel. |

Re: Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3R
Wired up the steering wheel and added a hub and extension to the steering column. I'll finish up the details for the wheel soon.

Re: Fujimi 1/24 Porsche 911 GT3R
I'm using the Hobby Design detail up kit for some of the parts. Cut out the vents and added them in. Used some 19G wire to make the steering wheel adjustment lever.
