2006 Kia Sorrento Rear Pads

I've read a few posts that mentioned "special tools" needed to replace the rear pads.

Is that true?

If so, what "special tools". I've replaced many disc pads and never needed special tools so I wanted to be sure I have what I need to replace my rear pads on my 2006 Sorrento.

Thanks for any help ....

Re: 2006 Kia Sorrento Rear Pads

I've got an '04 and no special tools (other than a c-clamp to press back the caliper piston) are needed for front or back brake pad replacement. Can't imagine the newer ones being that much different. Good Luck.

Re: 2006 Kia Sorrento Rear Pads

Some cars have the rear pads need to go reverse direction when threading back in - that can be tedious - maybe that's the case. Use the normal tool (or clamp the tool head into the caliper) and use channel locks or something to rotate backwards.
