2001 Escape stall after starting
My 2001 Escape stalls immediately after starting when I let off gas pedal I have no problems when I'm driving it thats if I can get it to stay started. I thought maybe I had got some bad gas but it wasn't..It doesn't happen all the time. its happened 3 times in the last 2 months.
I did read the other thread on this situation but there was no answers as to what is to be done. Thank you! Bo |

Re: 2001 Escape stall after starting
Start by cleaning the throttle plate on the backside and the IAC. When was the last time you did a tune-up ?

I have a 2001 Escape that had identical problem. Replaced Idle Air Control Valve and that solved it.
