What's your opinion on the new viper

Personally, I am not very happy with the new viper, I'm actually greatly disappointed. Maybe it just is gonna take time to grow on me but I dont know it just doesn't have that same mean and angry look/stance. Oh well this is my opinion, lets see what everyone else has to say.

I don't like them as well as the previous generation. Oh, & is it just me, or couldn't they have milked a little more power out of them?

.

I think its pretty stylish and fierce, looks better then the older RT/10's, but there are things I don't like about it that I wish they kept. For example the way the hood opens, it doesn't have that hot rod reverse opening hood like Corvettes and the previous GTS and RT/10. That was one thing really cool about the Viper, it was like the whole front of the car opened up even behind the front wheels.

That and the doors, the 1st Vipers didn't have those regular boring squarish doors like the Corvette. This 2nd generation does.

Overall, I like the new Viper. It has more power and weights less. But I am pissed that they didn't make the GTS. The viper looked better as a hardtop. The body looks more stylish then the older model, but lost it's mean bold look which I liked.

I thought the same thing, but then I realized that the pictures of the new snake were always from angles that make the car look ugly. When you see the car in real life, the angles are much different. Take a look at this pic, for instance:

I think it still has the same mean glare that the original has, and I am beginning to like it.

However, I do understand that the old viper, with its wicked curves, look very cool from almost any angle. The same cannot be said of the new one.

It is true that to really appreciate a car you have to see it in person. I have seen one in person and wasn't impressed at all. I'd still rather own a previous generation model.

The only thing the S2000 and the SRT-10 Viper have in common are the fact they are convertible, have four wheels, and two doors.

I love the looks of the new roadster, but I have my eyes set on the coupe. The new roadster is a huge improvement in every way over the old one. I don't see what some of you are complaining about.

.

Yeah I like this way better then the old RT/10. GTS vs that new GTS-R concept though, I dunno I think I like the GTS better.

The GTS is my favorite and will always be my favorite, but a V10 is a V10 and I would still own a RT-10 or a SRT-10.
