lol... it was an A2.. he just swapped a VR6 into it
I was like, SHIT I'm not the only one with a swap eh? And he's like.. and I got spray too

ok... an A2 body is lighter than an A3. A VR6 alone would probably tie or beat you. And he had a 60 shot right? That's hella. did you talk to him after he beat you. What did you guys talk about?:smoker2:

What kinda of engine did you put in the CRX? It's still 3 cylinder right? My jetta is a 1.8L 8v. It's got a lot of torque and top end. At top end I've heard it goes about 130. That's from a previous owner though so who knows.

JDM (jap-spec, right off the boat) B16a (comes in the JDM CRX SiR)
1.6L, Inline 4 cylinder, 16V, DOHC VTEC (variable valve timng, basically.. same as Toyota VVTl-i) 160hp 111ft/lbs 8200 redline Thats in stock form... Honda motors dont gain much from I/H/E (all I have is I/H as of now..) so I am probably pushing 170hp.... all in a 2200lb car. Top speed is 115, because of my JDM ECUs speed limiter....but the gearing is so short, I'd redline 5th @ 128mph or so.... Lets put it this way, 4800rpms in 5th gear is 80mph Good for acceleration, but bad on the highway. But its OK because i was built to hadnle it so.....

That's pretty cool how much did that little engine cost? Was is about 1500? Now that I know it's worth it to swap Vr6's I think I'll look into it. I have an A2. I get to learn how to drive tomarrow. I can't drive a clutch yet. I've never tried before. It'll be easy I'm sure except my dad is teaching me and he's an ass. Well bro It's like 1:30 or 2 am here so I'm gonna hit the sack! get on dubbin!!!

not just an engine swap
redliner, you can't just stick a VR6 into an A2. youd have to replace practically the entire suspension to make up for the added weight. did your dad buy you the GTI? i remember when i got my first A2 from my dad i was so pissed, little did i know the potential. youll love it. good luck learning how to drive a stick.

i just realized you had a jetta. my bad. i have an A2 GTI. kind of different but the suspension swap still stands, not to mention wheels and brakes.
