Which 1/12 F40 kit is more accurate ?
From other posts in forums I've got strong impression that 1/12 Monogram Ferrari F40 kit has problems with accuracy of car body.
Do both or one of 1/12 Protar F40 and 1/12 Revell F40 kit s have a more accurate car bodies ? On related note - is Revell kit a different kit from both Monogram and Protar kits. ? Or is Revell kit just a re-package of one of those ? I plan to do a conversion into F40GTE racer in the future and wonder which kit would be the most accurate base. Any help and opinions would be much appreciated. |

Imho the nicest F40 in 1/12 is the fujimi one.

if you wanna practice how a 1/12 F40 in whatever build stage would look like after an impact with a wall or a floor or a hammer, the monogram version is top choice.
imo the protar looks a good kit to choose.

Paolo, that is a great model. But Fujimi kit is very expensive nowadays.
Anyone knows if Revell kit is the same as Protar ? Revell kit is cheaper and easier to find presently. |

I don't think they are the same, but not certain. I don't think you will like the Revell/Monogram. I haven't found anyone that seems to like it at all. |

Re: Which 1/12 F40 kit is more accurate ?
Very true, the Monogram version is cheap & cheap & cheap, and the very poor & incorrect appearance shows it
Many people buy them because they are out there for cheap $, but to make proper involves much work (ask me how I know ) If building an Evo2 for your own shelf, then definitely start with the best proportioned one, the Protar is a good choice Someday soon I have to return to my GTE Evo2 conversion for the Monogram kit, but for now that's your best bet |

Re: Which 1/12 F40 kit is more accurate ?
The 1/12th Fujimi looks like the best "kit" to me. I had one but sold it for a 1/12th Kyosho F40 street wich I am converting to a LM. I bought it really cheap on ebay in yellow without a box!! The shape is very nice. The Revell is really off so avoid it. The Pocher has an accurate body but is simple and over priced for what you get.
